Jazz Ma Tazz is a group of skiers who gathered together in 1989 and chartered as an affiliated club under the Mid-West Region of the National Brotherhood of Snowpsorts. In 1993 Jazz Ma Tazz became a non-profit corporation in the State of Louisiana and began promoting, as well as, participating in activities that benefit the National Brotherhood of Snowsports. One mission of Jazz Ma Tazz is to encourage and promote snowsports among diverse individuals, bring together people who are interested in promoting snowsports and collectively enhance all snowsports through social and educational activities including group and community involvement. So what does a ski club from below sea level do in the mountains? Bring the Big Easy to new altitudes! We share our Crescent City flare with a second line to the beats of a brass band at the Opening Ceremonial parade- complete with Mardi Gras throws, twirling parasols, and waving handkerchiefs. While proudly wearing our purple, green, and gold we bring the flare and flavor of New Orleans. It’s all about skiing and sharing our unique culture while we… laissez les bon temps rouler! Does Jazz Ma Tazz sound like a club for you?
